Day 9

Three things you want to say to different people...

This one is kinda tough... I'm not going to list names, or tell anyone who they are about.

#1 You changed my life. You are a big reason for who I am today and I owe you a big thanks.

#2 I will always remember the things you told me. You taught me to be respectful, to watch what I say, and how I act, but not to take shit from anyone and instead, to hand it out like candy. You helped me to develop my sense of humor, and humbled me all in one conversation. You were one of the biggest influences of my life. I miss you everyday.

#3 You are one of the best things to ever happen to me. You've changed my mind about many things, and pulled me out of my pit of despair. The camaraderie we share is the easiest so far in my life. You are the other half of my orange.

Day 8

It's my birthday!

Day 8: Do you read? What are your favorite books?

No, I don't read. I never actually learned how....

Yes, I read. I love to read. I've seriously read like 7 books in the last couple of months.

Starting with my absolute favorites:

Harry Potter series
Jane Eyre
Song of Ice and Fire series
Any Harlan Coben mysteries
The Eldest series

and many, many more. I recently just finished the 4th book of a Song of Ice and Fire, and am waiting in anticipation for the next book to be released this Summer. I am also VERY excited for the HBO series "A Game of Thrones" which starts in next month!

I am currently reading one of Harlan Coben's mystery novels "In the Woods". I'm not even a fan of mystery novels normally, but sometime in 2003 or 2004, I read one of his novels and was captivated. I finished the book in a day, which isn't completely unusual for me. I'm a fast reader, and his thrilling page turner "Tell No One" left me unable to put the book down. His mysteries are the only mystery novels that I've ever been able to read and not figure out the who or why early on.

But again, I'm a huge reader. I have probably read over 500 books since junior high school, when my passion for reading set sale. So I think that it is safe to say I'm a fan of books.

Day 7

Another late one... Sorry guys, today was a not-so-good one... It wasn't necessarily bad, but lady cramps on the first day suck. Also, it has officially been my birthday for one hour and one minute, and I decided that it would be appropriate for me to wait (I will explain in a moment).

Day 7: What band or musician is important to you?

Some of you will probably scoff at my choice, but Lady Gaga is really important to me. I have friends who like her music, but believe that she is way over the top. I love it. I LOVE her theatricality. I love that she is insanely weird and doesn't care to hide it. I don't believe that she is trying to copy others, I feel that she is completely comfortable with who she is and who she wants to be. So comfortable that she really does not care what others think. I can only imagine being so comfortable with who I am.

She also is a HUGE advocate for LGBT. I am so passionate about this issue. I have quite a few friends who are gay and I believe they should have every exact right that any other American has. It shouldn't even be a decision decided by a vote. Everyone is supposed to have equal rights, and we obviously don't... Ok, stepping off of my soapbox.

We also share the exact same birthdate and year. It's silly, but I feel as if we share a connection.

Anyway, I'm gonna go ahead and blog for Day 8 too. Sorry for putting off blogging. I hope to get better at this! haha

Baby, I was born this way.

Day 6

Day 6's assignment is to name five places that I want to travel to.

Spain
(I was a Spanish major in school, and had the opportunity to go there for a Summer, but ended up not being able to pay the whole amount. I lost half of my payment, and missed out on the chance of a lifetime.)
Italy
( I have a very good friend who lives in Italy, and I miss her so very much. Also, Italy not only has amazing food, and beautiful people, but some really awesome beaches.)
United Kingdom/surrounding areas
(The culture has always interested me and my ancestry stems from Ireland/Scotland--there is actually a debate as to where exactly my last name/family originated, so I would really like to do some hands on investigating.)
Disney World
(A childhood dream that hasn't come true...yet!)
and this is kinda cheating, but across the US... hahaha
I have only been to about 6 states of the 50, so I feel like I still need to experience America.)

Day 5

I dropped the ball, so I'm going to make a few posts... Sorry :(

Day 5 was supposed to be an outfit post, so first let me explain.

Monday is my birthday, and I decided to have a get-together/birthday dinner at the local Thai food place. Usually I have a costume party, but since I'm turning 25, and I'm a quarter of a century old, I decided it needed to be classy. So the theme this year was "F*cking Classy."

Here is a photo of my outfit:

Sorry again!

Day 4

Today is an easy one!

Day 5: Where did you get your blog name?

My blog name consists of two of my favorite things, cupcakes and unicorns...
Also, a really long time ago, I saw a t-shirt that had a unicorn pooping out cupcakes, and it stuck with me. I thought it was disgusting/cute at the same time. So that's where it came from :D

This was the shirt I saw, btw...

Day 3

Day 3's assigntment is to give a detailed description of my day...

We went to bed pretty late last night, and I slept in until a little before noon. I logged into Facebook, and the very first thing that I see was that Elizabeth Taylor died. Needless to say, if you are a girl, you can not deny that Liz was one of the classiest ladies of all time. She made a name for herself rather early in her life, and her name basically became a brand that defined class.

Back to my day, I woke Chris up, and played on the internet for a while. While Chris was in the shower, I started to play Dragon Age II, which is pretty awesome. I haven't been playing as often as I want, but I made up for it by killing dragons, Stone Golems, Shades and many other creatures.

After Chris left for work, a friend came over and we went to eat. Not Salsita's, but still Mexican food. We went to Elena's and for once I was pretty disappointed with the food. The salsa and chips were awesome, but that's one of my favorite meals... haha. I ordered a taco/fajita, the meat was dry, but I ate it anyway.

After returning to the apartment, I placed some items on ebay, and decided it was craft time. I soon became aggravated, and decided to call it quits with a particular felt animal, and decided to work on my dress for my classy birthday instead. I had a couple of pitfalls, but finally finished and it looks good. I'm definitely happy with the finished product. Let's hope that the boyfriend is as well :D

All the while, I've been watching episodes of The X-Files from Season 5. I'm about to go do dishes and cook for Chris. All in all, its been a pretty boring day.

Thank you Chris, for reminding me to update :D

See you guys tomorrow!
